Jeans but not Skinnies!

I know - you're probably in shock reading that. Today the skinnies were abandoned in favour of a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans that I got in the charity shop. I thought they were straight when I bought them but after wearing all day yesterday, I wasn't sure if they fitted that description? Either way, I loved them for a change. Especially as I was wearing my Boden Photographer Jacket today and as it's short and fitted, I prefer to wear it with a looser bottom half.

Necklace - Boots
Boots - Moda In Pelle

Still not sure if they qualify as boot cut or straight? Maybe somewhere in-between. Looks down to study further...
No matter what shape the jeans are, I particularly loved getting this spring jacket out of the wardrobe for a spin. You may remember I bought it at Vicki's Boden Party last month. I did have it on with a long knitted jumper and a thermal base layer...oh and a scarf and boots but hey, it is a spring jacket. Let's focus on that.
On the subject of Boden parties, mine has been booked for the 2nd May!     I really like those jeans .. they make a nice change from the skinnies (I'm not sure either whether you would describe them as straight or maybe demi-boot cut). And the jacket is lovely. Am intrigued to know how you will cater for the crowds if even half your followers turn up to your Boden party?!! That's a lorra' lorra' people!!

      Great idea Thea!! Hoping it will be a nice day in which case, I'll open up the patio doors and set up my computer outside. I'm sure it will be ok...but have some neighbours to help if it does get out of hand. Really looking forward to it! Wish you both could come x

    I think a change is as good as a rest. I thought from the title of your post you were about to wow us with some boyfriend jeans then so I was pleasantly surprised to see these new to you jeans. Your legs look stonkingly long in them. And yes let's pretend it's Spring in your new jacket despite the forecast for snow this weekend.

    I think it must be in the air - I've put some alternative jeans on my post - I'm waiting for the backlash.

      Yes, the photographer jacket will have to go back into the wardrobe for another few weeks by the sound of the weather forecast. Sob. At least we are not alone...keep warm Mrs P! xx

    Well Avril I must say I love those jeans. Not only they flatter your body shape but make your legs appear longer and thiner. Skinnies aren't so flattering!!

    I predict you'll be in Boyfriend jeans by the end of the month Avril, you're slowly but surely stepping away from the skinnies. I would call these 'slim bootcut'. You really suit dusty pink by the way it tones in nice with your hair (not that you have pink toned hair or anything!).

    Oh my god I love them on you! You know that I'm a boot cut woman at heart....have put mine away until they come back into fashion, but , as you've illustrated, they make legs look sooooo long( and goodness knows I need as much help I can get!)
