A Great Night Out.....

starts with a great outfit. I was out with some friends last night for a meal & a glass or two of wine. Thanks to Lauren for taking this picture of me before it got messy. She also took this interesting 'rear view' while I debated with Karyn about which restaurant to go to (long story but the one we'd booked had not impressed us). Luckily we got another restaurant sorted straight away.

I wore my Room 31 Vero Moda cream peter pan collar dress (last worn here) and even though it's VERY short, I see nothing wrong with short at my age as long as you wear industrial strength tights from M&S! Also wearing black courts from New Look and a cropped black jacket that I've had for years. Carrying my patent LK Bennett Avon Clutch (last seen here). Only two shareable photos from the whole night as the camera seemed to go a bit wobbly on us later... :)
So before I went out last night, there was a bit of tweeting & Facebooking about what to wear on a night out which led to some School Gate Style girls sending me pictures of what they were wearing...
Claire first, wearing her Gok @ Sainsbury's black trousers, butterfly top & sandals (similar) from Dorothy Perkins and blazer (similar)from Warehouse!
Jenni & Kathryn sent me this picture from Dublin where they were on their way to the Jay-Z concert - lucky girls! Meanwhile, Shannagh was celebrating two 18th birthdays in Mayo - three gorgeous girls in three fab dresses...
Finally, Joanne was enjoying her vino in Porta Pollensa, Majorca. Please bring that weather home with you Joanne.
Hope you had a great weekend whatever you were up to. This week is going to be a busy one on the blog, including a new competition launching on Wednesday. I've got two great prizes up for grabs and it's open to all my followers worldwide. Watch this space for full details..

  5. You look lovely (totally agree re dress length & tights, though legs like yours help!).

Love how you share other people's outfits - esp like Claire's Gok trousers.

Dying to know which restaurant you rejected! ;)

    1. Thanks Nic - and it was Cafe Renoir we rejected. Had heard negative stuff about it recently so whenever they didn't have a nice table reserved for us and simply shoved two tables together downstairs where it was cold & there was no-one else sitting, we had no qualms about walking out. We had a better experience in The Other Place - the chocolate cake for pudding was to die for! x
