When Clarks asked me 3 weeks ago to pick a pair of sandals from their 2014 summer range, I looked out the window at the raging storms and wondered would I ever wear sandals again...last summer's heat seemed like a distant memory! But then over the past week, spring seemed to make an appearance and I started to think that maybe, just maybe, the toes will get out for some fresh air soon. Also, the team at Clarks told me that their sandals are selling really well as many people left it too late last year to buy. All in all, it seemed like a good time to share these photos.
Having read and obsessed over Sue's sandals last year, I didn't have to think too hard about what kind of style I wanted. I was looking an ankle strap, plain front, black and with a small block heel. Endlessly wearable and comfortable too..

The best thing about these sandals is that they come in regular and wide fit. This style of shoe with a strap across the toe can be a nightmare for anyone with a wide foot - I speak from experience! But these fit perfectly - they also come in half sizes too.
I took these photos when I was going out a couple of weeks ago so you've seen this outfit before but I just wanted to show a complete body shot so you can see better what they look like:
I just know they will be worn so much this summer. Roll on the sunshine!! If you're in the market for some new SS14 footwear, the Clark's range is available on this link, also loving these beauties..

Disclosure - these sandals were provided to me free of charge by Clarks. I was not obliged to blog about them and all words and images are my own.
They look great and like you say very wearable through out the summer. Roll on the warmer weather now so you can get lots of wear out of them,

DeleteThey look so elegant and chic! xx
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Sera! x
Deleteoh I love those ... perfect for so many occasions and the heel looks like just the right height. Crossing my fingers that you get the weather for them!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Helen, I'm visualising a similar summer to last year...so it *will* happen! x
DeleteLove these, they will go with everything. Its still the same torrential rain here though so I can't get excited about sandals yet!
ReplyDeleteAbbi x
I just saw that in the news Abbi! We've got the most gorgeous day here so hopefully it's winging its way to you as I type for tomorrow x
DeleteThey look fab - easy to dress up or down.... mind you I quite like the brogues too ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Helen, yes...was tempted by the brogues myself. Definitely going to get into the local shop to try them on soon x
DeleteOh gosh they look absolutely amazing, no wonder they are selling out fast
ReplyDeleteThey are, aren't they Fiona! Roll on the summer..x
DeleteLove these sandals Avril, just perfect for wearing dressed up or down & like you having a wide foot the fact that they come in a wide fitting means they appeal even more!

Thanks Jane - yes the wide fitting is a big issue for lots of us when it comes to sandals. Nothing worse than overspill in sandals! x
DeletePerfect and sure to become a summer wardrobe staple, love them!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharron - I'm looking forward to an extended period of wear very soon! x
DeleteI think I like your version more than mine - I will definitely take a look at them as I like the small heel which gives us shorties that little extra inch height. They look very flattering on as they don't pinch your feet like some do when they are too narrow across the foot and your foot is a bit squished. I likey :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue - I think I love them more now they have your approval I was very conscious of any gapping at the heel but I think you'll agree that's not an issue with these! x
DeleteJust gorgeous Avril......love the little block heel and the ankle strap! I definately am in need of a pair of black sandals in my life too, so these could be just the job! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle - they're a wardrobe staple. Every girl should have a great pair of low sandals! x
DeleteHi Avril! A perfect choice these are great for day or evening and I'm sure will go with so much in your wardrobe too xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharon! You're right - they will work really well for evening time too! x
DeleteThey are a fab pair of sandals, so versatile, a perfect heel and a perfect height, safe for a heel-o-phobe like me!. I love Alex's from The Frugality too they look so cool on her but being a lot older than her I think I may just make them look a little frumpy! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Frances...I think you could totally rock these. Sue tells me the ankle strap and the gap between it and the toe strap gives more petite ladies a longer looking leg! #fact from the guru of sandals! x
DeleteThey look so so chic on you! Perfect for the summer and how amazing do your toes look! Very Marni. fab gift!
ReplyDeleteI love them! Very Sam Edelman but cheaper......great choice. X
ReplyDeleteVery chic indeed Arvil, and I can imagine they'll look great with dresses as well as jeans. Let hope spring is on it's way now!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness so funny - I saw these today and thought of Sue immediately!!! They are lovely and they come in white! Looking fab babe! xx
ReplyDeleteWow these look nice and stylish, love the ankle straps :) loving the neutral brogues too :)
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect & the heel is Mama friendly! I love those brogues too! Ax
