What I've Been Wearing 11 | Style

[this post contains some affiliate links]
It's been a VERY long time since I did one of these. I was going great guns with my 2 weekly updates and now this one covers more than a month of outfits. But better late than never and I'll get back into the regular posting groove once the kids are back at school.

So in no particular order and I'll be honest, some of these I can't even remember when they were taken...but I remember the first one because it's from my day trip to Dublin with Nicola from Strawberry Blonde Beauty Blog - a trip we had been trying to arrange for ages finally happened back in June just before the kids broke up for the summer and this is what I wore...

Jeans & Blazer - old H&M
Bag - hush (past season sample sale)

Next outfit picture was taken on a trip to Banbridge to do a try on in this gorgeous local boutique, The Dresser. Do take a look at her website - so many gorgeous pieces and she's on sale too!
Blouse - Massimo Dutti (SS19 sale - no longer online)
Jeans - old Label Lab
Sandals - old Clarks
Handbag - preloved Dune (my mother in law used to own it and passed it to me!)

More local boutique love in this outfit - featuring a top from Berlin in Carryduff, Jeans from The Dresser in Banbridge (so this pic was definitely taken after the one above!) and trainers from Diva in Dungannon!
Top - Naya SS19 (wearing the S)
Bag - preloved from a handbag swap party

Next up is what I wore to my friend and blog husband Jeff's birthday party in Belfast - the dress code was Met Gala Camp....I'm not sure I achieved it but I'm not the biggest fan of dressing up...
Skirt & Bag - Franklins Belfast (website under construction but they can sell via social
Top - old River Island
Flamingo headband - Monsoon Kids

The blazer has been such a winning piece in my wardrobe. It's from Allsaints a couple of years ago and I've worn it endlessly. The colour is just that perfect shade of nude/beige/pink. One of those items you wish you bought 2 of but the reason I didn't was because it was so expensive!!
Blazer - old Allsaints
Jeans - The Dresser as before
Bag - Dune as before

This next dress has been worn LOADS in recent weeks. It's one of the few dresses I have that are suitable for lovely hot weather, which we've been fortunate enough to have experienced more than usual in the past month or so. It's an old one though from Zara..
Dress - Zara (past season)

And this is another warm weather dress - this time it's a Soaked in Luxury one that I got in Alana in Lurgan for my birthday. It's sold out now however. I've worn this dress open over shorts & a vest and it's so lovely that way also.
Dress - Soaked in Luxury
Shoes - Palmaira as before
Bag - old Mint Velvet (gifted about 4 years ago)
Denim Jacket - preloved Abercrombie & Fitch (via DejaVu)

Imagine if there were two of me...actually don't! How scary. Only one here and wearing a much less summery outfit in the Topshop dressing room:
Shoes - M&S (as before)
Bag - old preloved M&S Autograph
Jacket - old H&M
T-Shirt - Zara SS19

This next outfit was me playing with proportions as I loved the look of this long line grandad style shirt from Zara but it swamped me a bit. So I added a cropped jacket to nip me in where I need it at my waist and it worked. Nice to try something a bit different though on reflection, I've only worn this shirt once more since so maybe not the most hardworking purchase.
Jeans - old Label Lab
Trainers - Vanessa Wu as before
Leather Jacket - preloved Reiss
Bag - Mint Velvet as before
Cream Longline Shirt - Zara (SS19)

I think you can tell there's more than a month between the picture above and the next one because my hair is noticeably longer! No idea why the computer has ordered them in this way.
This skirt was a rare purchase. I have made a conscious effort to avoid shopping in fast fashion outlets like H&M but occasionally I go in to get the kids basic items and I get lured to the ladies area by a gorgeous print like the one on this skirt. ADORE. Has a crazy split up the side though so is completely impractical to wear. I have a large safety pin on mine to save my modesty.
Skirt - H&M (SS19)
Denim Jacket - Abercrombie preloved as before
Sandals - old Warehouse
Bag - current Accessorise sale
(I'm testing the water with an orange bag to see if it's worth buying a leather one - this one is cute but ridiculously small and impractical)

Next up an out/out outfit - I don't head to the pubs in Belfast on a Saturday night often. This was a proper 'tying one on night' and it was absolutely worth the hangover!!
Top - old Zara (SS18)
Sandals - old Topshop (SS18)
Jeans - old H&M as above
Clutch - from Boden and older than everything else.
Used to have a cross body strap which sadly broke.

One from Maryville House Tea Rooms next where Karin the owner invited me down for afternoon tea with a couple of my friends. We had the loveliest afternoon putting the world to rights. This is such a hidden NI gem of a place. And this skirt is a hidden M&S gem - so gorgeous. If you're over 5'6" though, buy the long length.
Skirt - M&S (wearing the 12 Long)
Trainers - Franklins
Navy Bag - old Zohara (gifted SS17)

More old favourites with this next outfit. I've had this Karen Millen trench coat for 12 or 13 years now. Still looks as good new..
Trench coat - Karen Millen
Jeans - Tiffosi One Size (Alana Boutique)
T-shirt - Zara as before
Bag - hush as before
Trainers - Sale Kendall & Kylie from Honey Boutique, Lisburn Road

Still in the Tifossi one size skinnies but this time the white ones! Definitely the best white jeans I've ever had with a gorgeous fit. To clarify, they're not entirely one size fits all...they comfortably fit from about a size 8 to 14.
Jeans - Tiffosi from Alana Boutique
Black Top - Masai from Berlin Boutique
Scarf - a birthday gift from Menarys (current stock)
Bag - old old Boden
Shoes - Honey, Lisburn Road as before.

This dress has been a hard worker this summer. It's from local boutique Moi in Bangor. It came to London with me and has also had a few outings here locally too, including here at the Belsonic concert in Ormeau.
Trainers - old M&S
Bag - Topshop as before

It's all about the bright bottoms next - these are M&S pink trousers that I tried on a few weeks ago and loved....but I had doubts about how much I'd wear them. Zip forward a fortnight and they were in the sale. No brainer. Keep the rest of the outfit simple when wearing such a statement pair of trews.
Trousers - M&S (not online as they went into the SS19 sale)
Shoes - M&S (as before)
Denim Jacket - old H&M
Bag - preloved Mulberry Antony (via eBay)

It's that dress again - this time on the trip to Tipp I make every few months with the kids to see my parents. I'm wearing some new FitFlop sandals that were gifted to me recently. I wasn't sure about them at first but OMG - they are the most comfortable things to have on your feet. Sign up to their mailing list and you'll get lots of offers and discounts.
Dress - Moi Boutique as before
Bag - from a neighbour's bag swap

And finishing with a picture from Limerick - we always pay a visit to the city when we're down visiting the parents. This is another of those midi skirts from M&S but this is from earlier in the season so it went into the sale. I saw a few in store not so long ago...it's such a versatile skirt and an absolute steal in the sale if you see it.
Vest - Zara basic
Skirt - old M&S (wearing the 12 Long)
Sandals - old Warehouse
Bag - from the handbag swap as before

And there you go - that took a while! I'm not yet up to date on my outfits but I'll get another post up early next week with the rest of them. Hope you enjoyed...it's interesting doing them in a large amount like that as it reminds me how many items in my wardrobe are actually quite old and get worn again and again. Winners for sure.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend

Ax
