Cashmere Crew Neck from Woolovers | 20% OFF | Style

I'm a relatively recent convert to the cashmere club - I used to think they couldn't be worth the money. Yes, lovely and soft but so light! How on earth could they keep you as warm as people say?

Then I went to work in Field Day back in 2016, one of the coldest offices I've ever worked in! It's a warehouse and is difficult to heat and I noticed that Alix the owner wore cashmere every day so I thought I'd give it a try. My first purchase was a black cashmere crew neck and I've never looked back. Talk about a revelation! I think it remains my most worn jumper and the price per wear must surely be in half-pennies by now.

Since then I've bought a couple of others from different places but never one from Woolovers, a brand I've bought merino knits from in the past as the prices are amazing and the range impressive but I didn't know they sell fabulous cashmere that's really well priced....plus they've given me a 20% off discount code for all of you!

I selected the Woolovers Pure Cashmere Crew Neck, available in 8 colours but before I show you it, I want to shout out Woolovers for their packaging. The jumper came in a compostable sleeve, packed in a reusable paper envelope. I'm so impressed by this and it serves as a strong reminder how many companies aren't taking plastic pollution seriously. Woolovers are a large online business that is embracing biodegradable packaging entirely. Not just using cardboard or paper on their outer packing but thinking of how to replace plastic sleeves for their inner packaging. I hope others take note!

Ok - to the knit now and this is the Grey Marl and I ordered the size S. I've always found Woolovers knits to come up on the large side so size down if you want a neat fit, as I do.

It's such a classic colour and one I know I'll wear lots. If you've never bought cashmere before and you're investing for the first time, I'd recommend a black, camel or grey as these are the colours that you'll wear most and you'll keep forever. 

This shade of grey will work with camel, black and navy as well as denim and other shades of grey (of which I have rather a lot!) I have styled it 2 different ways for this blog post to show you what I mean - starting with this midi skirt. A cashmere knit is a lovely way to extend the wear of your lighter midi skirts.

Then for a different look, I teamed the knit with a blazer and some distressed jeans. I love camel and grey worn together, it just looks so European and stylish!

There are tons of other options - I'm just not ready to dig out the winter bags yet but I know it's going to look great with my camel and my checked winter coats too. Oh and my faux fur coat! In fact, this addition to my AW19 wardrobe has got me properly excited for cooler days. You've got to have something to help you get through the winter don't you?
