These are the colours I'm supposed to wear all the time according to colour experts...and when I wear them, I do see why. I've never liked browns or oranges that much but I could wear khaki all the time and the coat and jumper I'm wearing here are going to ensure I wear it more often this winter.
The coat is from M&S - I featured it on this post also - worn with black but I think I prefer it with denim and a more casual outfit like this. It's sold out now - it was part of their look book when their AW16 range launched so it didn't last long in stores.

Jury's out on the boots - I'm still not feeling the love for my knee high boots but I don't have short brown boots so I decided to blow the cobwebs off these Hobbs boots from about 9 years ago. I'll never sell or give them away but for now, they're going back in the box and I'm going to search eBay for some brown ankle ones
The jumper is from the Woolovers Merino range - a welcome gift as the weather gets colder in Belfast. It's 100% Merino wool and super warm but the bonus is that it can be washed on a cool wool cycle. I'm looking forward to wearing it to work with a crisp white shirt and trousers but it works just as well as part of this casual outfit.
The reviews say to size down but I disagree - it's an oversized fit so buy your usual size. I'm wearing the S and I think the M would have worked well also.
And I'm all over the checked blanket scarves at the moment. I am so pleased that it's cold enough to enjoy them. I own about 6 from different shops and they are a great wardrobe staple, never really going out of fashion. Look for brown, black or navy base colours and you'll wear them lots. In my opinion, ASOS and Pull & Bear do the best selection at the best prices..
