Kelly Green πŸ’š

For the last few years without fail, this green coat comes out and it's like my 'spring is coming' coat. Even if it's baltic when I wear it (as it was in this photo), it cheers me up because it's such a fab colour.
Coat - Zara
Jeans - H&M
Trainers - Seven Boot Lane
(all past season - all purchased by me)
Navy Cashmere Knit - M&S (gifted - current season)
It's an old Zara number but if you look faithfully on eBay, you may snap one up. I actually bought mine in DejaVu about 3 years go. I'd seen it the previous season on a few bloggers and was gutted I didn't buy it so you can imagine my delight at finding it preloved.

Maybe it's because I'm Irish or my maiden name is Kelly, I don't know....but it gives me great pleasure to see so much green on the high street this season. So I thought it might be nice to round up some of my favourites.

Starting with a similar coat, this beauty from River Island looks heavier in texture than mine but the colour is spot on:
Also River Island, how lovely is his suede effect biker?
and this trench is beautifully cut...perfect for brightening up a boring work suit:
Moving onto dresses and I love this one from ASOS - only £20. Perfect with a biker or a denim jacket when the weather gets warmer
You can always rely on Boden to deliver a ton of green and I do love this dress. I'm told if you use J7SJ, you'll get 20% off all new season stock over at Boden.
Seeing this Tilly jumper reminds me that I have a similar green one in the wardrobe. I must dig it out!
Or how about this warmer shade of green from M&S that caught my eye when I was in the other week. They had it merchandised with grey trousers & a shirt underneath - it looked great. Looks a bit rubbish online though...but that's not a surprise when it comes to M&S:
Or how about adding green to your accessories? These green bags are great - again from M&S
And finishing with the perfect trainers to bring any green outfit right up to date - Green and White Stan Smiths. I have plain white ones but always envy the green ones when I see them on Michelle over at My Fashionable 40's:

Of course I've written all of these and realised I missed a trick majorly as I should be publishing it on March 17th! Consider it a timely reminder for our patron saint's special day next month...

Hope you're having a good Half Term - I'll be back ASAP with what I've been wearing and a brilliant summer bag buy that you better snap up now before they're gone.
