Wednesday

It started with sandals...

I never checked the weather, having been lulled into a false sense of summer security over the past week so when I pulled up the blinds just before taking these photos, I got a shock as it was raining!

Jacket - M&S (years old - hard to find a dark collarless denim jacket - this is similar but ££!)
Tan Handbag - FatFace
Necklace - Freedom @ Topshop (old)

So the sandals were never going to work. Cue a quick shoe change, that necessitated a bag change, that necessitated a necklace change (mixed metals are a no-no) and then I preferred the lighter denim in my other denim jacket.
Jeans & Top as before
Black Handbag - Gap (sold out - love this one!)
Denim Jacket - Vero Moda (past season - similar here)

Is it any wonder I'm always rushing to get breakfast into me before I take the kids to school? As it turned out, it absolutely chucked it down on the school run - proper soaked to the skin kind of rain so I was glad to have my trainers on. However, as I type, the sun has come out again so it looks like I'll be collecting the kids in sandals :)

Ah, you've got to love the Irish summer...

Ax

Ps I promise I'll not go on about it but I've started a bit of a health kick after getting a shock when I stood on the scales at the weekend. But talk about subliminal messages....yesterday I read 7 More Reasons to Drink Coconut Water - shared by my friend Nicky (who blogs here) and then today, this arrived with a courier...
I'll be honest, I'm not overly fond of the stuff but I'm going to give it a go in the interests of research and to keep me from drinking tea and coffee (with biscuits) during the day. Wish me luck :) x

  3. This made me laugh Avril, I definitely recognise myself in this post! I'm not a fan of the coconut water by itself either, but I do find it gives a nice taste to smoothies. Lucky you! xx

  4. You don't look like the scales would be in any way frightening! Cocnut water sounds utterly disgusting - will be interesting to hear your feedback:)
