After seeing this look on Ann-Marie's blog, I just had to recreate it. It's the perfect combination of dressy and casual and a great one for any of you out there who are finding the trainer trend a hard one to incorporate into your wardrobe..
Trench Coat - Zara (old, thrifted - similar here, here & here) Jeans - Gap Trainers - Onitsuka Tiger Navy Wool Roll Neck - Hobbs Scarf - Next (old) Navy Cross Body - Boden (currently sold out but does come back into stock now and again on that link) |
I wore this outfit into Belfast to visit George's Market with the kids and I'm loving it as it's so easy to wear. I felt casual but smart at the same time...it's one I'm definitely going to wear a version of again.
So tell me, if you're a reluctant trainer wearer, does this help?!

This is amazing Avril! Loved it on Ann-Marie and love it on you. You are so right - it IS dressy but casual all at once and the trainers just work so well - genius! (That's from a still doubtful trainer-wearer - at least when non-exercising...) Think you are convincing me..... Axx
ReplyDeleteI love how you still dressed everything up with the scarf and accessories yet wore the trainers cute and practical.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love - so cool and classy. It looks effortlessly stylish - cliché I know but true! xx
ReplyDeleteSo cute, ready for everyday but totally look all dressed up. Thanks so much for sharing. I can't wait for it to be a bit warmer for trenches. Thanks for linking up with #RealMomStyle

Avril you work it well! This look looks great on you, I found it easier to dip my toes into the trainer trend this way. I am loving the Boden cross body bag, gutted I overlooked this bag, I didn't realise it was a crossbody one just thought it was a wrist strap....silly me. Thank you for the mention! xx
