A Titanic Day

I finally visited the amazing Belfast Titanic building today, via a long walk by the River Lagan with the kids. And here's the photographic proof:
Today I'm wearing chinos - hurrah! It's taken so long for it to be warm enough to bare the ankles. I was sent these lovely chinos from the PR team at Next - so a big thanks to Gemma for organising and sending them to me so quickly!
They are the business - a great length and only £20! They come in 4 other colours and after wearing them all day today, I'm definitely going to get the red ones too.
Wearing today with a striped breton top from Tesco (keeping the nautical theme) and a great fitted denim jacket from M&S that I picked up a few weeks ago but it's already sold out! I can understand why as it's a great fit and has a lovely neckline. I'll show you more about it soon - it looks brilliant with a maxi dress. Also wearing a Benetton jersey scarf, Clarks burgundy pumps and a Dunnes Stores white vest layered underneath my breton top.
Isn't this signage great? In the background, you can see the original drawing offices where the Titanic was designed. It's such a historic part of Belfast and somewhere that not many people visited before now. Thanks to a prom-style footpath all the way from the city centre, it's so accessible and a great day out for all ages.  We didn't go in to the museum this time but I'm looking forward to visiting another day.
Before we left, I attempted to replicate the statue at the front of the building (just visible behind me)...this is becoming a worrying theme :)
Before I sign off this post, I've been asked by a number of followers about coloured jeans and what to wear with them so I need your help! Please send me a picture of how you wear your own coloured jeans (assuming you have a pair!) to schoolgatestyle@yahoo.co.uk and I'll feature all the photos later this week as well as entering everyone who sends me a picture into a draw for a lovely prize. Thanks to everyone who's already emailed their pictures - they're brilliant!! Closing date is 12 midnight GMT on Monday 21st May :) See you tomorrow!

    1. Hi there! It's actually Per Una!! I tried to get it online but it was almost all sold out at the time so I went in-store and there were only 3 left. Sold so well because it's a great fit. Here is the link but it's out of stock obviously - http://www.marksandspencer.com/Per-Una-Cotton-Pleated-Jacket/dp/B006CB7YAA

There is a green one in stock now - the cut seems similar but it isn't as practical a colour - here is the link:

Hope that helps! Thanks for your lovely comment x

Is this where I enter the M&S competition? Not sure. Difficult to decide which is my favourite. perhaps I could say which is my least favourite?! Anyway, I think I'll go for the purple bikini. I love the simplicity but great vibrant colour that make it current. But then again, I like the other purple two piece and the black and patterned one.....
