The Best of The Sales | Part 1 | Style

[AD - Affiliate Links] Can't believe it's all over - after my last post stressing about Christmas Dinner, we're 10 days on and it turns out, I'd nothing to worry about. Having said that, there was plenty of planning and organisation and a LOT of work but it all went well and I'm sitting here in a house where the tree has just been taken down and the furniture rearranged back to the way it was...for another year!
I hope whatever you got up to, you had a good one and welcome to a new year.  But before we start denying ourselves any pleasures (some people give-up shopping for January apparently 😱!!!), let's have a quick catch up on the best of the sales out there.

Starting with Hush, where sale proper started just this morning. I struggled with Hush this season as it was so eye wateringly expensive but I'm seriously tempted by a few items in the sale. This parka for one - I've lusted after it all winter but it was too expensive at £179. But at £125, it feels like a good investment. I see Fran on The Fashion Lift still wears her (shorter one) a couple of years later and it still looks as good...
The other thing always worth buying in the Hush sale are the scarves - the quality is lovely and they're always a bit different. I've had my eye on this one for a while also..
I'm not the biggest fan of slogan knits but I do like a subtle one and this grey jumper ticks those boxes. It also comes in a gorgeous cobalt blue.
These ankle boots are my pick of the footwear at Hush - I love that the hardware is silver and that they are low cut - so flattering when wearing with skirts and dresses. They look really comfy too..
Finally from Hush, this lovely cross body bag. I have had a black leather going out bag on my sale shopping list for a while. I specifically wanted silver hardware because I don't like mixing my metals and I seem to have a lot of silver in my going out gear. I'm now sorry I didn't hold on until this one came up in the sale. The one I got the other day was less expensive but isn't leather. Gah...might still succumb to this one yet
Moving onto Hobbs now and I have already shopped the sale in-store. I tried on SO much and had to restrain myself to only buying two items. The first is this jumper which is not unlike the Hush Patti Star one colour wise, but is at a much better price point and it's a better fabric composition too:
I love these roll necks - they're such good value at the moment. I tried on the S in store and would have bought if I hadn't fallen in love with the striped one already:
I also tried on this green knit - a gorgeous fabric and fit:
The reason I couldn't buy anymore is because I wanted this skirt - one I tried on when I did my Hobbs visit last year...delighted to snap it up reduced:
This next clutch bag is so well reduced - it would make a gorgeous birthday present for a friend:
The Tilda coat doesn't usually get reduced by much but the hot pink one is in the sale in limited sizes. For info, I wear the size 10.
Some other bits that caught my eye on the Hobbs site include this jumpsuit which is massively reduced to £35 - best for taller girls and limited sizes left at time of writing!
Or how about a classic loafer in navy?

Finishing with Boden on this post - another brand I find to be overpriced outside of sale but I always pick up something fabulous when the reductions hit. They're always good for jersey basics - this oversized Tee is available in limited sizes starting at £9
These PJ bottoms are great too - so soft and really well reduced!
You can't beat Boden for a breton and this one is fab for £15 - loving the bit of detail at the sleeves and still plenty of sizes left
This dress comes in two colour ways - by far my favourite dress from their most recent collection
This leopard handbag is my favourite of their sale bags - low stock remaining:
I've got spring in mind with this next pick - the classic cotton utility jacket. Now half price.
and the same with these white leather trainers - also half price
Boden is pretty good if you've got a holiday coming up soon as there's tons of swimwear, maxi dresses and kaftans in the sale.

That's my lot for now - if I get time, I'll share more sale stuff in the coming days. I've actually got a few posts in draft, including finally finally, the post where I share the foundation I think I've settled on. Why is it such a drama finding a foundation to suit your skin in this day and age? But fear not, I have found mine and it's only £11.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I wasn't paid to write this post but most of my links are affiliate links which means the brand knows that I sent you to their website so they may pay me a tiny commission if you buy and keep an item. This doesn't change the price for you and the modest income I make from these links helps to keep this website going. Thanks so much for all your support always.
