Seven Boot Lane | SS17 Review & Discount Code!

The Seven Boot Lane new season has launched and I was honoured to once again be asked to chose a pair to review. The brand is such a great supporter of this blog and has been since the early days. Not just when I'm featuring their product - they keep in touch with me year round, comment on my posts and have even asked for my opinions on some of their business decisions. I don't think I've got a relationship quite like it with another brand and it says a lot about the company and their ethos.

After much deliberation, I chose the Jade slip-on trainers and being brave, I picked the Appaloosa print, which I was a bit nervous about but there was no reason to be as it was love at first sight when they came out of the box. I've been dying to wear them since they arrived last month but needed to keep them nice and clean for my photos, taken by the 12 (almost 13) year old down at Titanic a week ago.
Mac - Karen Millen (10 years old!)
Black Skinny Jeans - Selected Femme (via DejaVu)
Cross Body Bag - Boden (past season)
Long Layered Necklace - From my shop a few years ago
These shoes are so beautifully made - I had to get some close ups to show how each shoe is unique...
They make a beautiful alternative to leopard or snake-print, interesting but neutral...perfect with all black, as I've worn them here but they work also with breton stripes, khaki green, and blue denim. I know I'm going to wear them loads and can't wait until the weather improves a bit to get the ankles out.

Comfort wise, they are spot on - similar to the 'Flame' pair I road tested last spring/summer which walked 9 miles one day on our trip to Paris. All without a single blister. I found this year's pair to come up a bit on the big side (though I'm convinced my feet are getting smaller....anyone else?). Unbelievably, I'm wearing a size 5 in these so if you're between sizes, definitely go down. Being gorgeous soft leather throughout, they will stretch and so they should be snug on first wearing.

Now, I'll put my hands up and say that Seven Boot Lane are at the upper end of what I'm able to spend on myself but footwear and handbags are the two things that are always worth investing in, especially for quality pieces that last. The good news is that today sees the start of a 2 week 15% code exclusive to readers of this blog. Simply input ALIFETOSTYLE15 at checkout!

And to help you with this 15% offer, here are my picks from this season's range, starting with these amazing neutral boots that would work with so many outfits this spring/summer. Thinking of culottes and cropped jeans, as well as a floaty floral midi dress.
The Grace boot comes in 4 colours. I'm loving the grey mostly but the black is a pure classic:
Theses espadrilles get amazing reviews and this year are available in 6 colours. There are also laced versions and a loafer option.
Again, a classic. I wear my SBL black loafers time and again and always get asked about them. This is SS17's version - more in line with the 'Gucci' style loafer but with silver metalware, which I much prefer over gold. This style also comes in white and metallic:

Finishing with this metallic platform which almost got chosen as my SS17 piece to review. Just a gorgeous shape and colour which will work with so many colours.
The code is valid for 2 weeks from today. For full disclosure, I'm paid a small % commission every time you use it. The trainers were gifted to me but I'm not paid or obliged to feature them on here - that's my absolute pleasure. Thank you Seven Boot Lane.
