Parka & Pink and a Blogger meet-up!

Well, the parka's getting plenty of use at the moment. I'm not finding it overly warm if I'm honest. Don't get me wrong - it's cosy but not as warm as my Target Dry Georgia. But then again, it's made from cotton material with a fleece half lining, as opposed to insulated 100% waterproof & windproof material - it does make a difference! Today, I layered up with some pink for a walk with the kids,
Parka - Warehouse (now on sale with more sizes in some stores)
Pink Jumper - Gap (old - similar here & here)
White Jersey Top - Dunnes 'stretch' range (similar)
Jeans - Gap Outlet (similar here & here)
Scarf - Harlequin Scarf from SGS Shop
Boots - Fly London (old - alternatives here, here & here)
Hat - M&S Boys Dept

It's the colour for me - I'm just loving the khaki. But I was talking to the Target Dry people the other day and for AW14, their Georgia Parka will come in a khaki green with a new softer (removable) fur trim. Looks gorgeous - oh and it also will come in Purple. Available from later this year and here's a sneak peek!

After the walk, I had some visitors to the house - Trea from Treasures 'n' Pleasures (currently 30 weeks pregnant and looking supers stylish!) & Rosanna from Silverbrogues. We had such a great catch up all afternoon, chatting about everything and anything! So lovely to have some blogging friends living nearby. In-between coffees and kitkats, we managed a couple of quick photos and suffice to say, I'm feeling a bit under-dressed for a style blogger meet-up....better suited to a walk in the forest!
Off now to post off a load of parcels to everyone who bought from the shop sale. Thank you for all your support. Not much left now but the good news is that this clears the way for some new stock to come in. Watch this space!

  2. Purple is my favourite colour :) Love that parka. It's down to you that I even looked at parkas last winter & I have one I wear all the time from Per Una in the M&S outlet. It always gets compliments & before reading your blog, I felt that parkas were only for teenagers. Oh, I was wrong. You look fabulous in the photo :)

    1. Isn't it fab - it looks great with the fur! Will have to do a try on for you all when they come out officially. I'm so glad you've found your Parka-groove - I was of the same thinking as you and had avoided for so long. And now, it's my coat of choice most days! Ax

    1. It's just brilliant having them so close-by. We almost did a shopping trip after Christmas but kids and broken down cars conspired against us.
Do you know, I almost sold those boots in my blog sale?! I'm glad I didn't. And I know you love the other things too...we have the boob love girl!

  13. Lovely photos! I love the khaki colour for the parka - would probably have chosen it above the navy, but the navy does go with everything! Are they bringing out new colours in the spring coat?

    1. Yes Abbi - the green is good but I think I've worn the navy one more if I'm honest...anyway, maybe by next winter, you could justify a second one?! Oh and regarding the lighter version, there are two new colours - a lighter blue - called french navy...it's gorgeous and a bright pink too. You can see them on this link: http://www.targetdry.com/collections/ladies-coats/products/target-dry-victoria-ladies-parka

  14. So my warehouse parka finally arrived today from asos, it got the thumbs up from my son and friend. Signed up to VIP which was on offer this week, free next day deliveries for a year! I'd agree with you the parka is not a very warm coat, but it's ideal for Spring and autumn where I wanted something warm, with a hood and stylish. One happy customer. I have a lovely joules down filled coat which is so light but very warm. Like the pink combo and I have that scarf, my favourite

I was going to ask if you will get any more of the taupe and neon scarves back in stock?

    2. Oh I'm so pleased you are happy with it and do you know, it will be fab when it's not so cold out and you can take out the fur lining..and it's big enough to fit lots of layers on underneath too.
Regarding the taupe/neon, I'm expecting them to arrive on Monday. I know the pink is definitely coming and they were to try to get me some of the yellow...it was showing out of stock so hopefully both will come to me then and I'll get them up on the shop asap! Ax
