Child-Free Shopping Fix!

After two weeks of full-on family time, it was lovely to get away on my own into Belfast for a couple of hours this morning. Before I trawled through the leftovers of the Zara sale (miserable), I called to Fat Face. I had admired the windows in a couple of their stores when we were in England but was with the kids every time and hadn't peace to try anything on. So to have an early morning hour there today was just bliss!
First item that I wanted to try was this navy jersey maxi dress. It has a gorgeous cut with a flattering twist detail at the bust. Loving the pink stripe across the bottom!
Makita Colour Block Maxi Dress - £45
Next on the wish list was this maxi skirt in khaki green. I've been looking for a jersey maxi skirt for ages and this neutral colour will be great during summer worn with flat sandals and in Autumn Winter, worn with biker or flat boots.
Jade Jersey Maxi Skirt - £40
The colour palate in Fat Face at the moment is lovely. I find myself really drawn to rose/raspberry/blush colours at the moment so this cardigan was another favourite:
Minnie Cable Cardi £35
On that same colour palate - this marl tunic is great. It's got pockets too!
I love a cool crisp white top and this one is perfect for over skinny jeans. It's got a lovely sleeve detail and is just £28. It's called the Tanis Top
The Vana Blouse priced at £41 is in my favourite blush colour while the Trinity Waterfall Cardi at just £38 is a fab fit - flattering on all shapes and sizes...
Last but not least, Fat Face has amazing scarves - here is a selection....
and my personal favourite was this bird print one (tied as per my recent Scarf Tutorial!)
Seagull Printed Scarf - £18 (available in store)
What do you think of my Fat Face choices? My favourites are definitely the maxi dress & skirt and they are on the top of my list for when the holiday overdraft is cleared. In the meantime, while I was in the Belfast store, I read about the Outside 9-5 competition that Fat Face is currently running on its Facebook page where you can win an ultimate weekend away and £500 in Fat Face vouchers! I'm off to upload a picture now :)
Hope you are all having a great weekend. Lots of great posts to come in the next week, including a day to day from my holidays (did I wear everything in my capsule wardrobe?) and the winners of my Room 31 competition and Styled By You - School Gate Style Scarf Tutorial will be announced. Still a day or so left to enter both of these competitions - click here & here for more info!
PS Thanks to Karen & Jason in the Belfast Fat Face store for their patience as I took up a changing room for a long time taking these photos :)

  10. I love that seagull scarf. The raspberry cardigan looks really nice too (and is fab with the khaki). I never go into our local Fat Face, the frontage is a bit odd, and not very well laid out which has put me off - but clearly I will have to investigate further! (Child free shopping = bliss)
